The Walking Dead Season 3 on Bluray & DVD

AMC’s The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season will be released on Bluray and DVD on Tuesday August 27 by Anchor Bay Entertainment. The series will be available as a complete five disc set for each format, each format containing all sixteen episodes of the season. In addition to Season 3’s episodes, the set will also features tons of bonus content, such as exclusive never before seen features, behind the scenes footage, deleted scenes, audio commentaries from the cast and crew members, and other miscellaneous surprises.

Anchor Bay, in addition to the Season 3 Bluray and DVD set, announced that it will be releasing a limited edition “zombie head tank” package for anyone that chooses to preorder The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season. The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season, largely based on Robert Kirkman’s graphic novels, follow a group of weary survivors led by officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) as they attempt to finally setup a permanent camp safe from the surrounding madness within a prison’s walls. Although fending off the ever growing horde of walkers is their main concern, they’re now faced with a greater danger: the living. They’re faced with difficult decisions against the prison’s native prisoners and the sadistic “Governor” (David Morrissey) from a nearby bordered encampment. All hope’s not lost, as new characters such as Michonne (Danai Guira) and old acquaintances, such as Merle Dixon (Miahael Rooker), arise in the ever lasting fight for survival.
